Your Journey Home to Yourself Starts Here
Through counselling and breathwork, I support women to navigate life’s challenges, understand themselves more deeply and create greater emotional balance, connection and intention in everyday life.
There is no one right way to care for your wellbeing.
Sometimes you need a space to talk, reflect and understand what you're experiencing. Sometimes you need to step out of your thoughts and reconnect with your body and breath.
That's why Her Journey Home Counselling offers both counselling and breathwork, allowing you to choose the support that feels right for you.

Meet Ashleigh
Having completed a Bachelor’s degree in Counselling and Level 1 Breathwork Instructor training, I am a Registered Practising Counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), and I am listed on the Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (ARCAP).
Over time, I have developed a deep commitment to caring for the mind, body and soul. Shaped by my own life experiences, I was drawn to a holistic approach to wellbeing and healing. I understand first hand how powerful and transformative this work can be, and I feel deeply passionate about creating a space where others can experience that same sense of connection and growth.
My work supports women aged 18 years and older who want to feel more regulated, grounded, empowered and intentional in their everyday lives, and who are ready to reconnect with themselves and come home to who they are.
At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship. I believe that feeling safe, heard and genuinely understood is an important part of the counselling process. I aim to create a warm, respectful and non-judgemental space where each person feels their experiences are valued and they can explore what is truly meaningful to them.
My approach is gentle, educational and holistic, with a focus on supporting you to better understand yourself and create meaningful, sustainable change. I offer a non-clinical counselling service and do not provide crisis or emergency support.
Therapeutic Approaches Used
Solution-Focused Therapy
A strengths-based approach that focuses on where you are now, where you'd like to be and the small, meaningful steps that can help you move forward. Together, we'll explore what's already working, recognise your existing strengths and identify practical ways to create positive change without overlooking the experiences that have shaped you.
Person-Centred Therapy
A supportive and non-judgemental approach that places you at the centre of your counselling journey. Rather than telling you what you should do, we'll explore your experiences, emotions and what matters to you at a pace that feels right for you. The focus is on creating a safe space where you feel heard, understood and supported as you develop greater self-awareness and find a way forward that feels right for you.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
An approach that explores the connection between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. CBT can help you recognise patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck, develop a more balanced perspective and build practical strategies to support meaningful change.
